Building intelligence.
Without kilometres of control cabling.
NUOS connects equipment, controllers and operations through a wireless-first BMS architecture— bringing real-time monitoring, automation and actionable visibility to commercial buildings and critical infrastructure.
A different set of
engineering trade-offs.
Wired BMS remains a valid architecture for many buildings. What follows is another approach—one particularly suited to retrofits, distributed sites and infrastructure with high communication-cabling costs.
A layered architecture,
linked wirelessly at the field.
Existing or new equipment connects locally to a NUOS controller via RS485 / Modbus RTU. Controllers speak to gateways over a Zigbee 3.0 mesh. Gateways pass data to a local server or cloud platform, feeding a centralised SCADA dashboard—with alerts, analytics and control.
Zigbee-based communication reduces conventional BMS control cabling between distributed controllers and gateways. Power wiring and wired equipment interfaces (e.g. RS485) may still exist locally. Performance depends on RF design, device density and project-specific engineering.
What NUOS monitors, integrates and controls.
NUOS does not replace certified life-safety systems. Fire-alarm and safety-critical control are integrated only as read-only status inputs to the BMS view.
One operational view.
Every station, every system.
Our own SCADA — engineered in-house — surfaces lighting, escalators, lifts, fire-alarm status, ventilation, AC gauges, diesel generator health, LT panel loads, energy consumption and water tank levels in a single, role-based dashboard.
- Live station faults — instant alerts for lift/escalator stoppage, FACP alarms, HVAC failure.
- Energy monitoring — track power use across HVAC, lighting, LT panels and vertical transport.
- Reports — auto-generated performance, uptime and savings reports.
- Accessible via desktop app — from a station, the depot or the head-office.
